It's largely common among Facebook users to request and accept friends when they just sign up for Facebook. Who can View the Friends section of my profile on Facebook?
To adjust who can see your Friends section:
- Go to your profile
- Click Friends below your cover photo
- Click
at the top of the page and select Edit Privacy from the drop-down menu
- Select an audience (ex: Friends, Public) to choose who you share your friend list with on your profile
